Details worth knowing before you pay
Which video sites does this work on?
YouTube and Bilibili. Captions are read from the video site's own caption track, so support is per-site. If the videos you care about are somewhere else, Pro will not help you — everything that works on any site (pages, articles, selections, PDFs) is already free and unlimited.
Why is only the video feature limited?
Because that is the honest place to draw the line. Turning a page into Markdown is something several free tools do; charging for it would just make this one worse than the alternatives. The video transcript feature is the part worth paying for, so that is the part that is metered.
What counts as one video clip?
One successful transcript. If the capture fails or you cancel it, nothing is counted. The count resets monthly, on the day you first used the feature.
What happens if my card fails?
You keep Pro for a grace period while you update it, rather than losing access the moment a payment bounces. Update your card in the billing portal.
Can I get a refund?
No — charges are non-refundable, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the period you are already in. That is why the free tier has no time limit: pages, articles and PDFs stay free forever, and the monthly video allowance lets you try the paid feature before paying for it. Where consumer law where you live gives you a refund right that cannot be waived, it still applies.
Who handles the payment?
Stripe. Card details go straight to them and never touch our servers — we only receive a confirmation that a subscription is active. See the privacy policy for what we store.
Is there a discount for students or non-profits?
Ask. [email protected].
